celebrating 6 years together

me and my hunny escaped mimi and papas, drove down the road and stayed at the most charming bed and breakfast for a night. it was a relaxing, romantic, charming, and memorable anniversary.

we layed in a giant sized hammock all afternoon. we spent some time at the Snowflake Temple.

there was a claw foot tub in the bathroom (every girls dream to take a bubble bath in one).

breakfast was amazing! the vicotrian pioneer home was my piece of pie.

i love you mark. you are my world. thank you for treating me like a queen, and laughing at my jokes and opera voice. and for telling me i can when i feel like i cant anymore. thank you for being so selfless and providing for our family so that i can stay home with our beautiful children. thank you for smashing the bugs in the house when i cant because im freaking out. thank you for not blowing your nose in the shower when im around. thank you for cleaning up addies throw up even though you have a horrible gag reflux yourself. thank you for being the positive one and encouraging me to be as well.
we have a whole life ahead of us. im glad we will be together living it. living through happiness, hardships, trials, laughs, ups and downs. i am at ease because we will be together.

we were away

we took a trip last week to the mountains.

we celebrated our 6 yr wedding anniversary and had fun with cousins.

o... and not that im looking forward to it or anything... but i know what i want to do when we are retired and lonely with no children.....like i said... not that im looking forward to it. i will tell you all about it later.

im craving the beach

i was looking through some old photos the other day and came across these. addie was just a little tyke. we took a spur of the moment trip to california. i forgot my camera, so we bought a disposable from a shop right on the beach. i remember picking up these prints from the store and being so disappointed. but looking at them now, i love them! them make me so happy. i remember on this trip, addie threw up in the car a million times on the way there. i remember mark buying a kite and flying it with addie. i remember i was pregnant with callie and we came up with her name on this trip. all the california license plates inspired us with the name "callie".

i remember we stayed in a dumpy hotel and ate sandwiches by the ghetto pool. i remember addie just loving the beach.

i so so so so so hope we can get a beach trip in this summer. mexico is a no go, but california???

i have told my husband, on more than one occasion, that being a mom is the hardest thing i have ever done. i will admit, it does not come easy for me. i am lacking, very much so, in the patience department, i get really bad anxiety, and i get overwhelmed and discouraged very easily. ( now you know some of my personal secrets, :) ) but i do love being a mother. there is nothing else in this world i can picture myself doing. there is no job, no matter how prestigious, that interests me over being a mother. it is what i am supposed to be doing in my life right now. and how honored i am to be the mother of these sweet, smart, innocent children. i love them.

i hope your moms day was sweet, and that you felt special!

boston trip

boston was A-M-AZ-ING! i stayed with my gracious cousin britney and her husband erik and their sweet daughter ava. it was 4 days of relaxing, eating good food, shopping, & fun!


i will tell you ALL about it......

we took walks on the charles river.
we got pedicures.
i had envy for charming homes.





we watched movies at home while sweet ava mae was sleeping. it forced us to slow our pace down and relax at home to recoup for the next outing. thank you ava!






we walked harvard square and harvard university.
i ate the most delicious crepes in the whole wide world.
the crepe pictured is the "ridiculous" , oreos, nutella, strawberries and whipped cream...
o my!

bought and savored winfreys chocolates in Newbury Port.
browsed a few antique, fabric, & jewelry shops.
























visited walden pond and concord.
sipped the best hot chocolate.






listened to and belted great tunes in the car.
visited L.M. Alcotts home, Orchard House.





walked boston common and boston garden and part of the freedom trail.








ava sitting atop the "make way for ducklings" mother duck.


roamed beacon hill & quincy market.



had a fun girls night out.
ate an o so yummy italian dinner at cibo.



shopped at H&M.
took some of the best desserts from lydells home. o my gosh... so much good food!



went to the top of the prudential tower to see the city lights. beautiful!

experienced public transportation.

had breakfast at zaftigs. chocolate french toast and banana walnut pancakes with date butter!

stayed up late.

had mama to mama talks.

j.p. licks ice cream. (are your arteries clogging just reading about all this!)


it was all so amazing. i cant wait to go back someday and take mark around. we would have to stay a good long week to enjoy everything there. thank you britney and erik and sweet ava for having me. i will never forget it!

pretty

addie :: summer 2008

we have become quite fond of this song.
this morning while in the car, we were listening to it.
addie said, " im going to cry."
i asked her in a concerned voice why? because she was smiling and didnt look sad at all.
she quickly replied, " because this song is so pretty."


o my darling, i love you, so much my heart hurts. it is pretty isnt it. so pretty. and so are you.
