thanksgiving point and wheeler farm

 [ Thanksgiving Point ]
we had heard from my sister in law about Thanksgiving Point and that it was a fun place for the kids to visit.
we went to the farm part of the park and loved it.
pony rides were included in the price, which was one of the main reasons we visited that part of the park.
walker was of course going crazy at the sight of all the animals.
we took a carriage ride and enjoyed the place.

i walked around the old Wheeler house and peeked in all the windows. i felt like a giddy girl on christmas morning. the lace curtains and and old doors made me smile from ear to ear. i stood on the front porch and imagined my little family playing in the yard on a hot summer day while me and mark watched from the porch after a hard days work, sipping something cool. it was a dream.

one of the barns on the farm.

WE GOT TO MILK THE COWS!
that was awesome. mark and i didnt think it was weird or awkward at all. in, fact, we could have milked the cow till the brim of the bucket was full. it was a fun experience. (call us weird and crazy if you wish.)

we love farm life, if you couldn't tell. i felt so at home there on that farm. like i belonged.
is that weird?
i loved the sights, the sounds the beauty.
the simple life.
there is somewhere in my heart that longs for that life.
its wonderful.

i haven't been to thanksgiving point since i was a kid. i loved it! and you would just die here in texas jess. there are so many old plantations and gorgeous brick homes with the most beautiful property. if we stay out here our goal is to end up somewhere like that where we can have a huge garden and animals! it's gorgeous for sure.

I'm so glad you went to Wheeler Farm! I knew you'd love it! You were about 4.5 seconds from my house when you were there! I love, love, love, that place!
