flying solo

im getting on a plane tomorrow morning and heading to the east coast.

alone!

until saturday!

can you believe it? i cant!

i dropped a hint to mark a few weeks back that it would fun to go and visit my cousin. the next day he came home with flight prices. i had to jump on this before he changed his mind! i am so full of different emotions... scared, anxious, nervous, a little guilty for leaving my kids and husband, excited, so so excited! we are going to shop and take beautiful walks, have a girls night, eat at quaint cafes... o my goodness! did i mention so excited? and did i mention i have never been back east? EXCITED!

but im really going to miss them (and my other half)....

i will back before you know it. cant wait to share it all with you!

things i love about my garden:

1. being in it, picking a random weed, seeing the progress made from the day before.

2. that my kids beg me for a carrot or a pea every day.








3. the lizard that has made our garden its home. im sure it is eating up all the bugs. thank you lizard.







4. the carrot top that popped up in the green onion section. reminded me that the girls help me plant this garden. they probably dropped a seed. we planted this garden together, with eachother.



5. its yummy, pretty, calming, and makes me happy.






ps.... ive been so busy this week. like, soooo busy. i have so many projects, activities, meetings and looking forward tos its starting to overwhelm me. but it is marks weekend, so i plan on relaxing and taking a bit of a breather. maybe a movie at home, some window shopping, maybe icecream. my anxiety lowered just thinking about it!

i came across a blog (& now i dont remember where) where a girl posted a picture of her and what she wore everyday of the week.. i did the same thing this week. it tells a story of what happened, our comings and goings, what my mood was. but promise not to laugh... promise?? i am horrible at picking out clothes for myself. i like to keep things simple, i am a mother of 3 for goodness sake, so a tshirt and jeans or skirt is my first pick.
so, here is to horrible bathroom lighting, hauling my dirty, old mirror that ive had since high school all around the house, phone cameras, pony tails, and the real me.


Saturday: date night with friends.



Sunday: church day



Monday: drop off addie and school and run errands.



Tuesday: morning at the park




Wednesday: cleaning, laundry, that kind of stuff.



Thursday: no picture... walker was crabby, one of those days.


Friday: made jam, took walker to the doctor(he was fine), its friday!

there is a ghost that keeps opening the chicken coop door and letting the chickens out. and of course, the chickens never go in the grass... they want to stay on the cool porch and poop. so i tell the girls that when the "ghost" lets them out, they have to herd them up and put them back in the coop themselves. it isn't easy and is quite the task, not to mention entertaining to see two little ladies holding sticks, chasing chickens around the yard.

come to think of it... the ghost hasn't showed up and opened the door in awhile!

what is there to do in the desert when you know that the temperature is going to sky rocket any day? why go to the park and enjoy the cool breeze, thats what!














o, and mimi got to join us. we went to lunch, stayed up late, talked about sad things, happy things, funny things, joked, and had a good time. we hated to see her leave so soon. we love our mimi!... (and papa too.)
