tomorrow is his birthday

and i love him. he is the foundation in our family. he is the calm one, the patient one. the provider. he gives up his sleep. he is selfless. he is smart. he is handsome. he is my friend. a friend that will be with me my whole life and more. i could not live without this man. i love him.

our bedtime conversation

oh how i love her.

she got out of bed once. and said, "what you eating?"

nothing, get to bed.

"i smell something, what is it?"

a candle.

i then walk her to to bed.

she comes out a second time with bed head already and she has only been in bed for 5 min.

"i forgot to tell you somethin."

what did you forget to tell me?

"wheres daddy?"

what do you need to tell me?

"where are the candles?"

downstairs, lets go to bed.

(with a frustrated tone) "i cant stay in bed."

i will sing you a song.

"will you rub my arm?"

the sure way to get her to bed, rub her arm. she loves it.

visiting santa

sorry about the blurriness. i was rushed by santas helpers, even though we were the only ones in line.

Addie was in awe at Santa. she just stared at him with big eyes and when he asked her questions she just sat in silence. (which isn't like her AT all!) She eventually told him she wanted a

"pee pee dolly". Santa, just keep in mind that this is the only thing she has said she wants for Christmas. Maybe you could try really hard to make this wish come true.:)

today it snowed..... glitter

my girls are asleep.

i am going to get my comfy clothes on.

i am going to listen to bing.

i am going to make chocolate chip cookies.

but i have not been in the mood to put my tree up. could be for a number of reasons, one of them being that it may end up like this again this year. so i sorted through the ornaments and picked out the unsentimental, unbreakable ones and let addie trim the bottom of the tree. i will leave it like this until Christmas eve, then make it pretty. until then i wont have to worry about it and she can rearrange them as she pleases.

we put on our sweaters (really didn't have to), we got in the car, we turned the radio to the local holiday station, we drove to the nearest gas station, we bought some hot chocolate, we turned the a.c. on to make it feel a little bit like December, and we looked at Christmas lights. i love driving and looking at the lights. the kids are happy. i might just go every night, seriously.

still havent started my shopping.
