every sunday we bake cookies. its kind of a tradition since i was a kid. i remember always being in the kitchen on sunday. we made muffins, pretzels, cookies. it was a great way to pass the time and we had fun doing it together. so now i do it with addie. i think getting your kids in the kitchen with you is really important. i let addie pour all the ingredients in the mixer. i let her smell the vanilla. i let her turn the mixer on and watch it spin. she loves it! and she gets so excited that she created it! i have many recipes for cookies and love to try new ones. we end up taking them to marks moms that day so they arent staring at me all week.Sunday, February 10, 2008

what a good thing to do. I am really bad at letting the kids help me cook. Haylee is only allowed to shred cheese and open the cans.
Yumm.. those look so good. I have had a real bad sweet tooth latley. If you like to try new recipes here is a good one for you. I don't know if they still make Andies chips or not being as in it is not the holiday and if they dont I have the recipe but they are the best cookies I have had lately. Give it a worl I think you will love them. Very addicting
Ymmy..If you like new recipes try this one. I don't know if they sell Andies chips being as in how it is not the holidays but on the back of the bag is the best cookie recipe. If you can't find the chips I will give you the recipe. Promise, you won't be able to stay out of them.

What a great tradition to have. My kids love the kitchen too. My son more then my daughter, but they always want to help mom or dad cook. Even if it's just helping stir the eggs for breakfast. They always are in the kitchen. That's a great idea for a sunday stay in activity.
Addie is such a good helper! I'm sure one day she will be amazing in the kitchen all because she has such a good mom!
